I’m 30, Y’all!
This is a bit of a diary entry. Just in a reflective move, you know?
It’s finally here! Ya girl is 30 today and let me just say- it’s about damn time. In honor of the occasion, I wanted to share a few things I learned in my 20s for those of you still muddling through. Plus, now that I have achieved middle age I am anxious to impart wisdom on the younger generation:
If you’re in your 20s and you feel behind, no you’re not.
Start the project, move to the city, dump the guy (these are all things I wish I’d done, learn from your big sis and don’t get caught up). Life is for experimentation and reinvention.
Start stretching now. I’m begging you. Your mobility is the first thing that starts to go!
Make a spreadsheet for your finances. DOCUMENT YOUR PURCHASES. Don’t let money leave your account and you don’t know about it. It’ll help you be financially agile which will be key in 2026.
Finishing things is 90% of the battle. This goes for anything and everything.
You don’t actually know anything. I don’t even know too much. That is so freeing to me and I hope that can be freeing for you as well. I shudder to think what the world would be like if I was right about any of it.
I’ll keep my ting brief but thank you all so much your love and support!

Happy Birthday! In 10 years, I would like to compare what you've written here about your 30s with what you will write about in your 40s. Oh, how enlightening and entertaining that will be!!
